#GivingTuesday

Hi. It’s Tuesday. But, not just any Tuesday. It’s Giving Tuesday. You’ve probably seen the hashtag all over social media. #GivingTuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a day that begins the season of giving. It highlights the purpose of giving to other people and supporting charities and causes. There are so many causes you can donate to and volunteer at, it is hard to choose.

Sometimes I feel that it’s hard to find a way to really give to the community or the world, without being scammed or knowing where that money is going. That is why I want to share with you THE SHOP FORWARD.

The Shop Forward is a website that sells clothing and other accessories to support causes. Here is a list of causes they support:

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

American Red Cross

Building Homes for Heroes

City of Hope

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

TEEM Haiti

White Heart Foundation

Capital Area Food Bank

Andy Roddick Foundation

Musicians on Call

i’mMe

Brandon Burlsworth Foundation

Harvest107

givetwig

50 Legs

Jeremiah Program

Refuge Ranch

Wreaths Across America

Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund

Special Operations Warrior Foundation

Heifer International

Crosspoint Church

Austin Pets Alive

MusiCares

UNICEF

Alzheimer’s Association

Agape Children’s Ministry

They also have items where the proceeds go to funds for the victims of Las Vegas and Texas.

A while ago I ordered this crewneck that goes to fund the victims of the Las Vegas shooting. A tragedy that affected people and a community close to my heart.

What a way to donate to causes that mean so much to you, all while wearing cute and comfy clothing at the same time.

When you order the apparel, the donation is already added on to your order, but you also get the option to donate more at the checkout.

I understand that sometimes it can be hard to find a way to help people and organizations around the world when you, as a person, seem so small. But, little donations like this really do help.

So, on this crazy, busy #GivingTuesday…please think about spending 10 minutes of your time checking out and maybe purchasing something from this awesome website. I promise you won’t regret it. Plus, you’ll have a cute, comfy sweatshirt to curl up in if you donate.

GIVE. GIVE. GIVE.

Happy Tuesday y’all.

SONG OF THE WEEK

HEY HEY! Another Monday!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been checking out my blog. It means a lot.

This weeks SONG OF THE WEEK is from this guy with a hell of a beard. I mean look at it. I saw Jordan Davis in concert at the beginning of the month when he was touring with Kip Moore. I would definitely see him again, he was a great live performer, full of energy. The crowd definitely was jamming hard to him.

The song I wanna highlight is Take It From Me

“You got what I want, I got what you need. Take it from me.”

It’s such a jam you just want to sing along even if you don’t know the words.

I can’t wait to see Jordan Davis again, and I definitely recommend seeing him live. Also, he has 2 other songs that I love just as much. Singles You Up (Which is on country radio right now) and Slow Dance In A Parking Lot. (Super cute)

make this Monday great yall.

SONG OF THE WEEK

hunter-hayes-more-lyrics-622x320

Every Monday I will post a song I have been listening to. One that grabs my attention and one that will probably be on repeat for the next week. (or month) Music gives an insight of what is going on in my brain at the time. So, if you really want to get to know me, listen to these songs. They could just be random jams too. You never know.

So here it is. The first ever, SONG OF THE WEEK.

More – Hunter Hayes

The big HH created a debut album in 2011, “Hunter Hayes (Encore),” when he was most popular. He disappeared for a while, trying to find himself and his style of music. He has created a sophomore album (Storyline) and a few “projects” including “The 21 Project.”

I have been listening to his music since his debut album, I have been to 4 of his concerts and I have met him(he is the sweetest guy in the world) and not to mention, he sent me flowers on Valentines day last year…that’s a story for another time.

ANYWAY!

I hope you enjoy his most recent single, “More.” Another one of his sappy, perfect love songs. Ew.

New Things

Oh hey. My very first post. I was contemplating about what to write for it, then realized it shouldn’t be that hard.

Well, I was wrong.

I can’t really explain to you why I started this blog. I have absolutely no free time at the moment. I work full time and go to school full time (I know, yikes). But something inside me wanted to start something new. I feel that trying new things is what sets your soul on fire.

Anyway, I have to leave for a class in less than 2 hours, so I guess 2 hours is enough to explain to you what you’ll probably find on this blog from here on out.

I talk about music. A lot. Not just a lot, a lot. More like all the time. Ask my friends and family(Sorry!). More specifically country music. Like, are you kidding me. How can you not like country music. “My heart bleeds for country music.” ~ Darkhorse, Devin Dawson (Look him up, you won’t regret it) They aren’t just songs, they’re stories. So, I guarantee 95% of my posts will be about country music.

I go to concerts. A lot. And you guessed it! Country concerts. Live music makes me happy. I feel the most comfortable when I am screaming the lyrics along with my favorite band. Along with the majority of posts about music, I will be talking about my concert experiences as well.

I take pictures. Not just pictures, portraits. I work at a photography studio, taking photos of mainly seniors in high school. I mean how fun of a job do I have? I also work with the most amazing, loving, funny people in the world. My job is basically my life. And I love it. So be prepared to hear funny stories or highlights of my week. Not to mention, I take my camera almost everywhere I go.

I like to explore. I don’t go far. I mean Michigan has so much to offer. My goal is to explore all of Michigan (and eventually the rest of the world) and I will share that journey with you. As for now, these tiny Michigan towns will do.

I also like to share. I like to share new products, new websites, new clothes, new places, new things. I don’t just like to share objects either. I am a creative person. I strive on creativity. That being said, I will share my creativity with YOU.

happy monday y’all and enjoy the week. so glad to have finally met you and this blog.
